A great match kick off to IPL 2021. This nail biter had everything that a cricket enthusiast hoped for. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the toss and decided to field. RCB was led by Virat Kohli.
Batting first, the Mumbai Indians went on to score a respectable 159/9 in their 20 overs with Chris Lynn scoring 49 off 35 balls. Harshal Patel from the RCB got a 5 wicket haul which restricted the Mumbai Indians from accelerating towards the end of their innings.
RCB chased down the score on the last ball of the innings and AB DE Villiers was the top scorer with 48 off 29 balls. RCB now has a great start to the IPL but need to continue the momentum into the backend of the tournament.
